Rollercoasters, Reggie & Road Trips: My Ultimate Theme Park Adventure

Buckle up, folks—because I’m about to embark on the theme park road trip of dreams! Over the next 10 days, me and my ride-or-die theme park buddy Mel are trading real life for rollercoasters, camping stoves, and magical lands. We’re hitting Efteling, Europa-Park, and Disneyland Paris, and I’m buzzing like a launch coaster just thinking about it.
Our mode of transport? The one and only Reggie, my faithful VW Transporter and accessibility sidekick. With Reggie rolling steady, we’ve got the freedom to cruise at our own pace, from enchanted Dutch forests to German thrill zones to the sparkling fairytale streets of Paris. We’re mixing it up with hotels, Airbnbs, and even a bit of good old-fashioned camping—because why not throw in a tent under the stars between all the high-speed turns?
As a thrill seeker through and through, I’m chasing that adrenaline. Give me looping coasters, spooky dark rides, and anything that sends my stomach into orbit. But more than just the rides, I’m most excited about diving headfirst into the immersive worlds each park offers. There’s nothing like a well-themed land to help me truly switch off—which, trust me, is a rare skill for my overactive brain. Theme parks? They’re my escape button.
I’ll be documenting the whole journey—especially the accessibility experience at each park. While Disneyland Paris is a familiar face in the accessible travel world, Efteling and Europa-Park seem to fly a bit more under the radar when it comes to blogs and YouTube coverage. That’s about to change. I’ll be shining a spotlight on the good, the great, and everything in between, so others can plan their own adventure with confidence.
So whether you’re here for the ride reviews, the accessibility breakdowns, or just to see if Mel and I survive 10 days of coasters, camping and chaos—stay tuned. This trip promises to be fast, fun, and full of fairy tales.
Catch you on the first drop!
